DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Data Train UBRA (U Bremen Research Alliance)\n\nBack
ground\nGit is a powerful tool used for managing and tracking changes to c
ode and documents. Paired with platforms like Github\, it allows users to
collaborate\, automate tasks\, and simplify their workflows. This course i
s designed to introduce Data Stewards to the basics of Git and Github\, pr
oviding them with the skills and knowledge they need to use these tools ef
fectively. Git's decentralized functionality also makes it ideal for use i
n environments with limited or no internet access. It's worth noting that
there are other tools similar to Github\, such as GitLab and Bitbucket\,
and the principles learned in this course can be applied to these platform
s as well. \nLearning contents\nIn this course\, you will learn the basic

series of lessons and hands-on exercises\, you will learn how to create p
 rojects\, track changes\, collaborate with others\, automate tasks\, and m
ore. By the end of this course\, you will have a solid foundation in using
